Hope you are having a great Wednesday. If you aren’t well, that sucks, but it could also mean that this lightens your mood so have fun with Sawyer, the Drop-In Cobbler.
Introduction
The Lonesome Cobbler is a name that is known to those of the poor and cheap. Without his partner, the Lonesome Cobbler is less effective at his job and therefore his prices plummeted. Despite this he has found plenty of work, just not as grand as what he did in the past with his partner and their combined skill.
Info
- Appearance:
- General: While not as much as the Cobblers that focus on blacksmithing, Sawyer has muscles that cover his body. His muscles are best described as lean. Sawyer’s ears stay flopped at the side of his head, which is covered in light gray hair. If seen without his shirt a scar can be seen that starts at his left shoulder down to his mid abdomen.
- Clothes: Sawyer can be found with a white undershirt covered by a plaid shirt. He has dark blue pants and boots that cover its ends. The clothes he wears are covered in a variety of stains gained from past jobs.
- Personality: Sawyer is like most other Cobblers, a workaholic, but each Cobbler goes through about their craft in different ways. Sawyer prefers to do his work in silence. He has mastered his craft to be able to craft in silence and expects others to do the same, and if you don’t, you’ll get a glare and then an earful. While outside of work, while rare, he prefers to see the world and keep an open mind as he learns the different techniques that he comes across.
- Qurik: Unlike many other Cobblers, Sawyer will not fight with his employers. He used to but an event caused him to change his perception on that ideal of Cobbler society.
- History: Sawyer spent his childhood learning the basics of crafting with his partner in the Feywild.
- Freelancers: After learning the basics, Sawyer and his partner went out into the world to take on jobs. Hired for a variety of jobs, the two gained experience and pay for their labor.
- Job Gone Wrong: One of these jobs was for the two to build a siege weapon for a clan of orcs. While working the clan and the Cobblers were attacked by a group of guards and adventurers. The Orcs and Cobblers fought back but started losing. While fighting Sawyer was hit by a dagger that cut through his upper body. He later woke up in the Feywild in a Cobbler settlement, without his partner.
- Poor Man’s Labor: Now, Sawyer traverse the world looking for any job he can get. Without the combined effort of a Cobbler pair many overlook him and hire others. He now works mostly for the poor and those that want to cut corners on their crafting jobs.
Drop-In
Since Sawyer, like any Cobbler, is a wandering tradesman it is easy to find him across the world and planes. All that is needed is another NPC for him to be in the employ of. This means that you can drop Sawyer in any place another NPC that would want his expertise. You could also have Sawyer in-between jobs somewhere.
Plot Hooks
While Sawyer likes to work more than give others work it is sometimes required of him. The best example of these instances is.
