With Thanksgiving coming up I was wondering what I could do here to help celebrate. Well, what I came up with was create an entirely new holiday and celebrate it instead. This week will be focused on the Hogsgiving, a holiday that could fit in any D&D world. We’ll start off the week with a monster that is hunted for the holiday. Wednesday will be a big piece that explores the traditions of the holiday. Finally, Friday will have some tables based around the holiday. Have a great Hogsgiving week and I’ll see you later this week.
Lore
Its hide is covered in blue streaks and its hoofs spark with electricity. The Thunderback Boar is a rare breed that has an affinity with the storms of the sky. They are much larger than their brethren and have some ability to call on the lightning that they are associated with.
Solitary Lifestyle: Thunderbacks act alone. Only found amongst its kind when young, with its mother, or during the mating process. These creatures hunt, sleep, and die along. They care not for the presence of their own kind and hate other creatures, actively attacking those that try to interact with it on any level.
Hogsgiving Delicacy: The Thunderback Boar is a delicacy during the holiday of Hogsgiving. Their meat is better than a normal pig and the affects it has on the consumer is sought after for the festivities.
