Y’all are lucky, because today I have a lot for you. In the creation of a single monster, it was necessary to make the other two to fit with the overall monster of the post. Below I have the statblocks for the Walrus and Giant Walrus. The monster of the post, though, is the Warlus, a war Walrus. The Warlus is a modified Walrus, so I needed to make the statblocks for the other two creatures. The modifications for the Warlus are at the end of this post. Enjoy the two statblocks and the modifications that can be made to them.
Lore
Wanting to make use of the Walrus and Giant Walrus’s blubber, a piece of natural defense that helped the creatures stand against most attacks, some kingdoms went to train these creatures into the war machines of the North. These creatures came to be known as the Warlus.
Trained Young: Walrus and Giant Walrus are unfriendly when fully grown, so the kingdoms that wanted to turn them into war machines needed to find a way around this. They came to the decision to train these creatures from birth, and so went about capturing older Walrus for breeding or just capturing the young.
Modified Bodies: To strengthen the amount of damage a Warlus could deal and take, the kingdoms that trained them changed their bodies. This was done through two methods. The first was to always make sure that the Warlus had sharpened tusks. The second was to hire the blacksmiths of the realms to craft full plate that would cover the bodies of these creatures.
