Today, I introduce to you the Giant Tribe, one of the main three tribes of Arachni. they are allied with Giant Spiders and can be found within the forests of the world. In the following two sections you will find information on how the Giant Tribe hunts and on how they train their specialized warriors. Hunting Practices
The Giant Tribe uses focuses on the use of webs when it comes to hunting. This can range from webs used as traps or webs used as ranged weapons to catch and immobilize prey. While the Giant Tribe can make larger webs they allow their allies, the Giant Spider, to make such webs. A common tactic is to chase prey towards the webs of a Giant Spider so that it gets caught.
The Giant Spider calls the forests their home. While some Giant Spiders are known to live in caves, the Giant Tribe does not follow suit. There may be enough food in the caves for a few Giant Spiders there is not enough for an entire tribe of Arachni and their allied spiders. The Giant Tribe mainly hunts herbivores within their woods. They make use of the plant-eating creature’s speed against by allowing it no time to react to the webs that it is running headfirst into. Along with the fact that herbivores have no easy way to break webs, is the reason that the Giant Tribe hunts such creatures.
Secret Methods
The Giant Tribe’s strong suit is their webs and through years of training and constant use, the webs take on a silver hue. Nothing special is done to gain this hue, so it is considered possible for any Arachni; it is just most commonly found within the Giant Tribe. The thing unique about the Giant Tribe is the way in which they fire their webs: through slits in their wrists.
This body manipulation is a secret held by the elders of the clan and is something that only those that have gained the silver hue are allowed to undertake. At first the Arachni slowly open up their veins through constant exercise and certain types of food. After that they undergo a surgery that uses the extra space for a web funnel. This procedure requires an elder and at least one Giant Spider.
