Today, I introduce to you the Red Glass Tribe, one of the main three tribes of Arachni. they are allied with the Red Glass Spider and can be found within the forests of the world. In the following two sections you will find information on how the Red Glass Tribe hunts and how they train their specialized warriors. Hunting Practices
The Red Glass Tribe hunts with poison. They make use of the poison of their spider pets and their own to take down their prey. Due to their hunting style the Red Glass Tribe needs a way to deliver their poisons. Some of the tribe lack to be the ones to deliver their poison, with their fangs, and others like being able to deliver it from far, through ranged weapons. Both practices can be found within the tribe, but the latter is more common with javelins and daggers being the most common method of transport.
The Red Glass Tribe does not prefer to hunt herbivores or carnivores, as they all eventually fall to the Arachni’s poison. This means that the Red Glass Tribe can survive off a smaller hunting ground, as anything and everything within it are capable of becoming the Arachni’s prey. The Red Glass Tribe takes advantage of this by putting itself within the center of forests and only coming to the edges when in dire need of food.
Secret Methods
Unlike the other main tribes of the Arachni, the Red Glass Tribe’s specialized warrior does not go through years of training to gain their abilities. Instead, they drink a concoction of various poisons, some of the known ingredients of which is the Red Glass Spider’s poison and pure acid. This deadly concoction is something that all Poison Fangs must drink to get gain their abilities. While the poison can kill many that drink it, due to the Arachni’s inherent resistance to poison and tweaks to the recipe, a decent amount of the Red Glass Tribe survives.
This method of gaining specialized warriors leads to higher quantity and lower quality. Without the years of training beforehand the Poison Fang are not masters of their abilities and a great many would lose to a specialized warrior from another tribe due to the lack of experience. This does not mean that they cannot grow stronger the Poison Fang just starts with less experience. The trade-off for this is that the Red Glass Tribe has the most specialized warriors of all the tribes of Arachni, the main ones and others.
Pets
Unlike the other main tribes, the Red Glass Tribe considered their spider ally as pets more than equal partners. This is due to the lack of intelligence the small Red Glass Spiders have. The Red Glass Spiders are normal spiders with a strong poison housed within their bodies. The statblock and lore of this creature can be found as next week’s Monster Monday.
