Homebrew Monster: Deadeye Newt

It’s the end of September and some may think that this monster probably belongs in the Spooky month that is coming up. The Deadeye Newt is a creature made through dark magical procedures that places an eye into a newt. Have fun with this murderous little creature.

Lore

The Deadeye Newt is a creation of the dead and living, in turn making what can only be described as a monstrosity. The only plausible reason for making such a creature is to have something that could do your dirty work.

Psionic Powers: Taking the eye of a dead humanoid and embedding it into the head of a newt, suprisingly, gives the newt psionic powers. The experimentation that was needed to figure that out is something that most could not stomach, but it has resulted in the creation of a strong, if small, creature.

Grotesque Assassins: Most Deadeye Newts listen to their creators and thereby are used by them for an assortment of tasks: mainly ones that require the newt’s stealth and small size. Taking advantage of the Deadeye’s bloodless manner of murder their creators use the newts to make quick work of their enemies. Despite how great the Deadeyes are for murder and assassinations they have one flaw, their appearance. The grotesque appearance of a Deadeye puts all on edge, let alone the leaking aura of death that surrounds them. This causes many to flee, others to kill it, and most to run away to get someone that can kill it.
