Homebrew Monster: Mini-Corn

Hello. I thought we would start this week off with a bang in a tiny package, so let me introduce the Mini-Corn. A take on the unicorn, added with some of my own personal spice and flare. Have fun with and enjoy some D&D.

I’ll see you in two days, for a little surprise. Check out Wednesday’s post to see what it is.

Lore

Mini-Corns are sent by the gods to the material plane to uphold and promote peace. While they resemble ponies, they have no relation and are actually celestials. They are instead closely related to the unicorn. While similar to unicorns, the mini-corn is more focused on a supporting role.

Roaming Nature: Unlike unicorns, mini-corns do not take up residence in a singular location. They roam the world looking for those that need support or violence that they need to stop. Due to this they have no ability to affect the surrounding nature like a unicorn could.

Peaceful Horn: A mini-corn’s horn is made up of a piece of divine power and it is where the mini-corn derives much of its power. The horn can be used as a power source and an ingredient in the making of many items. Despite this many do not seek the horn of a mini-corn due to the inability to use its power to cause harm to another creature or be used by evil creatures. This is because the horn holds a rather strong piece of divine power that stops it from being used for anything that would be against the will of the god that bestowed it to the mini-corn.

Feedback

I try to playtest every monster before I post them, but I am just one person. So, something that works at my table may not at others. If you feel inclined fill out the form below on how the monster worked for you. I am glad for any feedback.

I plan on using the feedback the fix the statblocks so that I can either repost them or put them in a down the line product for sale.

Check the one that you feel fits best to describe the CR of the creature that you are filling this form out for.
Fill the book with any feedback about the monster that you feel is relevant.
