Homebrew Monster: Sap-King

Now that we are nearing the end of the actual end of the first month that this blog has been on I have decided to have a little bit of a callback. This callback is a new take on the first monster, and first post, found on this blog, the Sap-Ling. So let me introduce the Sap-King, an evolved version of the Sap-Ling.

Lore

The Sap-King is a Sap-Ling that absorbed the jewels of its many victims. The jewels absorbed into its sap added to its defense and later its constitution. It uses this power to rule over its fellow Sap-Lings.

Jewel Obsessed: The Sap-King has grown a fasconation with the things that “civilized” races mine from the ground. Due to the jewels being natural it does not break the Sap-Ling’s code to destroy the “civilized”. Due to this the Sap-King targets the caravans that are likely to carry the precious jewels that it desires. It loves jewels so much that it adapted to better engulf them. An ability it makes use of to harm those that become between it and its jewels.

Feedback

I try to playtest every monster before I post them, but I am just one person. So, something that works at my table may not at others. If you feel inclined fill out the form below on how the monster worked for you. I am glad for any feedback.

I plan on using the feedback the fix the statblocks so that I can either repost them or put them in a down the line product for sale.

Check the one that you feel fits best to describe the CR of the creature that you are filling this form out for.
Fill the book with any feedback about the monster that you feel is relevant.
