This Wednesday morning, I shall introduce you to the rules for the Red Glass Poison along with some lore. This poison is from the Red Glass Spider, the statblock of which was posted Monday, and is used by the Red Glass Tribe of the Arachni.
Red Glass Poison Rules
The poison of the Red Glass Spider can be added onto a weapon for added effects on a successful attack. These effects are as follows:
- The weapon attack will deal an extra 1d4 poison damage.
- The target creature beat a DC 12 Con. Save or become paralyzed until the end of their next turn.
Red Glass Poison Lore
While the poison of the Red Glass Spider is very useful, it is rarely used. This is due to the process of extracting it from the Red Glass Spider is tedious and produces a small amount. The process also leads the poison losing some of its effectiveness. This can be seen with the effects not lasting as long and taking effect less often. The small amount produced from the harvesting method leads to only certain members, usually higher ups, having access to the poison. The most common amount being 2 doses.
